Meet the New Hall Hospital Team

Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes

We speak to staff members from New Hall Hospital, located in Wiltshire who talk to us about their roles including daily activities, the culture and career progression opportunities within Ramsay Health Care UK. New Hall Hospital is currently undergoing a development, hear what our staff have to say about the benefits the new development will bring to the hospital.

Alessio Biagini –Head of Clinical Services

‘What I enjoy most about my role is the family feeling. You get to know everyone quickly, everyone is friendly and so willing to help. I’m pretty visible and there’s been a good response to this. I always appreciate that from people in leadership roles so try to display this in my own behaviour.’

Camilla Betti– Senior Staff Nurse

‘There are a lot of progression opportunities. I have only been here 5 months and already got promoted as a Sister on the ward. There is lots of training and education offered to staff too. At New Hall they have employed a Clinical Education Lead which is helpful for training and development of the staff!’

Jason Hopkins –Endoscopy Decontamination Lead

‘It’s like working in a big family. You know everyone, it’s a lovely atmosphere. Because we are such a small team we work together so well. It’s great teamwork. You can have a good laugh at the right times and it makes you want to come to work, I feel like this impacts the performance of the team if you are happy.’

Jing De Leon –Senior Staff Nurse

'The patients are the focus of our work, it is a very nice environment. It feels like nurses spend more time with patients, and the big difference is the care we give here. It’s exceptional. Patients feel safe, we support them through the whole journey. We receive good support from the Hospital Director and Senior Management team too.’

Jolanta Kajota – Health Care Assistant

‘For someone who wants to develop it is good to start here. If you want to study you can, the development is very good. Ramsay is very happy to give opportunities for everyone and support them. There are lots of different departments depending on your preference, interests and specialism..’

Lehentha Mattocks – Deputy Manager

‘What I love most about my role it is varied, you learn more, your knowledge is wider. The contact you have with different specialists helps you learn. You learn skills from others you work with too, as they have a wide range of knowledge. I like that the job is not just caring for patients, it is so much more. ’

Meet Tracey Metcalfe - Administration Assistant

'I have been able to do the hours I have wanted to. It’s not that I’ve been lucky to be allowed to do that, I hear across the board that if you want to work here then Ramsay will work with you, and I think that’s how they’ve kept such good staff.

Ramsay are accommodating to people with commitments in their life outside work.'
